Erdinç Saçan explained the world of artificial intelligence to the youth

Erdinç Saçan, an educator and researcher at Fontys University, held an inspiring conference on the fascinating world of artificial intelligence in an event organized in collaboration with the Tilburg Turkish Youth Association and Stichting UnitySphere Europe (SUSE), where he met with 70 young people. Furkan Çınar presented the event.

In this significant event, Saçan emphasized the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and its importance both now and in the future. AI already has a significant impact in many areas of our lives, and this impact continues to grow every day. Saçan pointed out that artificial intelligence could bring innovations in business, education, healthcare, and many other fields, and could make human life easier.

During the event, Saçan also discussed the potential risks and ethical issues associated with this technology. He stressed the importance of developing and using these technologies responsibly and shared with the participants the importance of being aware of possible negative effects and minimizing them.

The significance of experimenting with artificial intelligence technologies, working in these fields, and creating creative solutions was another important theme that Erdinç Saçan emphasized. Saçan encouraged young people to get educated in this area and to better understand artificial intelligence. He underlined that they could shape their own futures while also benefiting society by using this technology.

Who is Erdinç Saçan ?
Erdinç Saçan studied Information Technology at Fontys Hogescholen and completed his master’s degree at Tilburg University in Information Management. 
He works at Fontys Hogeschool ICT as an ICT & Business teacher, with a broad interest in topics within this field such as marketing, technological developments, ethics, privacy, data revenue models and persuasion principles. In addition to his work as a teacher and researcher, Erdinç blogs for various leading marketing and ICT platforms.
In ICT, Erdinç is involved in AI, VR/AR, Blockchain, EdTech, Open Data, Smart Cities, Gaming and ethical issues. 
Out of personal interest, he is also concerned with topics such as politics, social cohesion and networks. 
Erdinç is a member of the Fontys AI Community and actively hosts the AI-related Fontys podcast ‘AI Garage’. 
In addition to his work at Fontys, he is also active as a Practor at ROC Tilburg, where he is a member of the leading group Interactive Technology that operates within Mindlabs. 
Since January 2022, Erdinç has been Higher Education Manager – Central at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK).  He also holds a Supervisory Board position for various organizations.
