SUSE Participated in the EmpowerED Training Programme in Lecce, Italy
SUSE successfully participated in the 5-day EmpowerED English Training Programme held in Lecce, Italy, between 12–16 May 2026. The training programme brought together trainers and adult education staff to strengthen institutional capacity and enhance the quality of adult education practices.
Throughout the programme, participants took part in a total of 25 hours of intensive training, including interactive presentations, hands-on digital tool practices, and collaborative workshops. The sessions focused on key themes aligned with the EmpowerED project objectives, such as digital transformation, employability, employer-driven learning approaches, competency-based microcredentials, inclusion, and green skills.
During the training, participants explored AI-supported teaching methods, digital career readiness tools, mentoring models, workplace scenarios, and learner-centred approaches. Special attention was also given to disadvantaged adult learners, including migrants, low-skilled adults, and unemployed individuals.
The programme also supported the development of more inclusive and accessible training practices through Universal Design for Learning principles and digital content adaptation strategies. In addition, sustainability and green competences were discussed as essential elements for preparing adult learners for future career pathways.
As SUSE, this training experience contributed significantly to our ongoing efforts to improve adult education, strengthen digital readiness, and promote inclusive learning opportunities. The knowledge and practices gained in Lecce will be integrated into our future training activities and institutional development plans.
