Call for Participants | RIFT Erasmus+ Training Course
Stichting UnitySphere Europe (SUSE) is pleased to announce a call for participants for Recipes for Inclusion: Using Food as a Tool for Integration in Youth Work (RIFT), an Erasmus+ KA153-YOU Mobility of Youth Workers project coordinated by Horizon Bridge for Future (HB4F) e.V.
This 7-day project explores how food can bring people together, promote social inclusion and strengthen intercultural dialogue. Through intercultural cooking workshops, food storytelling, group discussions and sustainable cooking challenges, participants will discover practical ways to engage migrant and local young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities. Together, they will also develop the RIFT e-Toolkit, a practical resource combining recipes, cultural stories and inclusive youth work methods.
Project details
- Dates: 30 November – 6 December 2026
- Venue: Jugendherberge Düsseldorf, Germany
- Participants: 36 youth workers from 9 countries, with 4 places per country
- Accommodation and meals: Shared 4-person rooms, three meals and coffee breaks daily
- Travel support for the Netherlands: EUR 285 (Green Travel, 100–499 km)
All tickets must be confirmed by the hosting organisation, so please do not purchase any tickets before receiving confirmation.
Who can apply?
We are looking for youth workers aged 18–30 who:
- are actively involved in social inclusion, migrant integration, intercultural dialogue or community engagement
- are open to intercultural teamwork and non-formal learning
- are interested in using cooking and storytelling in their work with young people
- are willing to contribute actively to the programme and the RIFT e-Toolkit, and to apply what they learn in their local communities
The project promotes gender balance and encourages the participation of youth workers with fewer opportunities. Accessible facilities are available, and dietary and accessibility needs can be accommodated.
